Sign up to attend bargaining next Tuesday 7/14 at 1pm!
We have a scheduled bargaining session on Tuesday 7/14 at 1pm with the Rockefeller administration. In this session, we anticipate Rockefeller’s counters to our initial economic proposals that we presented over a month and a half ago. Please sign up to attend so you can see their response!
Also, on the political front, new proposed regulations from the Trump’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) would give Trump unprecedented power to deny or cancel more than $1 trillion in annual federal grants at any time and for any reason. They would also prevent the use of grant funds for 1) publishing data, 2) attending conferences, and 3) international research collaborations. These proposals are a direct threat to workers, researchers, students, scientific independence, objectivity, and the communities that rely on federally funded programs.
Here’s how you can help stop this: Before a new policy can go into effect, anyone can submit a public comment. Commenting is an important step in defending federal grants, protecting jobs, and standing up for a strong and independent scientific enterprise.
Please submit a comment, sign up for bargaining, and let us know if you have any questions.
In solidarity,
