Join our rally outside the main gates from 12-1pm this Wednesday, May 20!
Contract negotiations are entering a crucial stage. As of last week, we proposed key economic articles (see below) and the University is still failing to address our concerns about discrimination and harassment. Your support is needed to make our demands for a better contract, fairer compensation and safe conditions a reality. Join our Rally to tell Rockefeller University to Work With Us, Not Against Us on Wednesday, May 20, 12:00 pm outside the main gates!
Our contract is a tool we can use to make Rockefeller University stronger, and to defend higher education and science. We help deliver billions in grant funding and produce work that has made Rockefeller University an R1 research institution. It is time for a contract that recognizes our worth: that allows us to focus on our work, protects us from inflation and ensures our science is robust enough to withstand politically motivated attacks and spending cuts.
That means:
-
Fair compensation and benefits for unit members that ensure Rockefeller remains competitive
-
Stronger protection against discrimination and harassment to make our workplace more equitable
-
Improved housing and childcare provisions that will help with inclusiveness for all postdocs, especially parents and international workers
In the latest round of contract negotiations UPROR made significant progress by proposing key economic articles to the University. These included our proposals for compensation, housing, childcare, retirement and insurance benefits.
Show support for our proposals and tell the University to Work With Us, Not Against Us at a rally on Wednesday, May 20 at 12:00 pm, outside Rockefeller main gates.
The more of us who attend the rally, the more effectively we can send this message to the Rockefeller University administration. Please click here to let us know if you can make it!
