Join researchers across the city in protesting NIH funding cuts!
Public research and higher education are under attack. Since inauguration day, the new administration has frozen federal funding, eliminated funding for climate research and systemically underrepresented researchers, and defunded university research programs by slicing NIH indirect cost rates.
On February 19th, academic workers across NYC and around the country are taking action to defend our work and research in the public interest.

Washington Square Park, 4PM
Meet us to travel together to the citywide rally:
Rockefeller main gate at 3:30
Join researchers from Columbia, Mount Sinai, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York University, City University of New York, and more to protest these reckless attacks on public research and education. By coming together across institutions, we have the power to defend our research, our careers, and the public interest.
I want to help spread the word about the National Day of Action!
Labor for Higher Education, a coalition of labor organizers across the country, have called for a National Day of Action to launch a national movement to fight back against the devastation to our education and research institutions, our careers, and our local economies.
In solidarity,
Kevin Ng
