VOTE NOW ON OUR INITIAL BARGAINING GOALS
Our elected Bargaining Committee has prepared a set of initial bargaining goals using the results from our bargaining survey and hundreds of conversations throughout our campaign. These goals articulate a vision for what we could win in our contract. More than 80% of postdocs have filled out a bargaining survey, but to show that the bargaining goals represent the needs of our community, it is critical that a strong majority votes to ratify them. Please read the bargaining goals carefully and then vote here.
The vote will run from Monday (today), December 9th to Friday, December 20th. You are eligible to vote if you are a Postdoctoral Associate, Postdoctoral Fellow, or Research Associate currently employed by the Rockefeller University who has filled out a bargaining survey or an authorization card.
These goals are intentionally broad and ambitious, reflecting a comprehensive agenda derived from the various issues highlighted throughout our campaign. After ratifying a set of initial goals, the bargaining committee will craft more specific proposals to address each goal extensively. To get more involved in the details of these proposals, stay tuned for more information about working groups – groups of postdocs researching and giving feedback on specific contract articles – in the coming days.
