Thank you to everyone who attended Tuesday’s informational Town Hall for your thoughtful questions and input! After sharing information about the upcoming election vote and hearing from postdocs involved in unionization efforts at some of our peer institutions in NYC, there was a lively discussion about election logistics, how we as a union decide our priorities, and what we could improve. As we continue to build a democratic and inclusive union, it is important that as many of us participate as possible. If you haven’t already, check out our website FAQ page for answers to common questions.
We will hold our next Town Hall on Thursday, September 5th at noon in Carson Family Auditorium. We encourage all postdoctoral researchers to attend to get answers to any questions you may have regarding the unionization process, hear from unionized colleagues at other institutions about their experience, and engage in discussions with fellow Rockefeller postdocs.
